The Story of Vink in Brief

The story of Vink Kunststoffen began on 1 September 1954 with the establishment of the one-man business M.A. Vink's Import-Export in Oosterbeek. By chance, the company's founder, M.A. Vink, heard about a new material – plastic – which immediately after the Second World War was completely innovative and unknown. Then, through a client contact, he was also told about PVC pipes, which were rust and corrosion-proof, had excellent insulation properties, were far lighter than existing materials and could easily be cut to size and rigidly glued in place, unlike the metal pipes which were then being used. The combination of these unique properties convinced Vink that he had come across a revolutionary new material. He therefore decided to develop the Dutch market on behalf of a leading German plastics manufacturer.
